Dublin, Ireland — May 6, 2007: Archistry Founder, Andrew S. Townley, to Present at 14th Annual COSAC Conference in Naas

Andrew S. Townley, Founder and Managing Director of Archistry Limited, announced today that he will be presenting at the 14th Annual COSAC Security Conference to be held September 23-27th in Naas, Ireland. Mr. Townley will be discussing the issues around deploying identity management solutions for mobile services, focusing on the specific challenges facing organizations wishing to deploy strong authentication for mobile banking and m-commerce. Mr. Townley's presentation is primarily aimed at technical managers and business leaders who want to understand these challenges in detail and determine a strategy for deploying mobile services for their organization.

"The biggest challenge facing mobile identity management today is, quite simply, the capabilities of the mobile device," Mr. Townley said. "Today, there are around 2.5 billion handsets in use, and the question is when, not if, you will be asked to provide secure services for some of those customers. Based on our research and client engagements in this area, I'll be presenting a framework and authentication protocol which can be used to provide strong authentication across a wide range of devices that support the J2ME application environment."

Archistry choose COSAC as the venue to first present this approach due to COSAC's reputation for drawing world-class security and information assurance professionals from around the world. "If there's a forum where you can get honest and constructive feedback for new ideas, COSAC is certainly the place. We'll feel pretty good if our approach stands up well here," Mr. Townley said.

Details of the full authentication framework will be published after the conference for wider review and comment by the community.
